Lexington celebrated Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday. The day was first officially recognized in 2024. It was a beautiful day with dancing, singing, story telling, art displays, doll and necklace making….and a 20 foot canoe hand made of white pine. In the morning kids on the nature walk found just such a “mishoon” tree at the Paint Mine Conservation Area. Here are photos of the festivities.
