Tell us a little about yourself. You can include your personal background, family, outside interests that are important to who you are as a person and a candidate.
Where would you find Katie Cutler on Patriots’ Day?
Options:
A) The Lexington reenactment
B) A Red Sox game
C) The Boston Marathon
Answer: All of the above! My day starts early so I can attend all three events.
I have lived in Lexington for over 25 years with my husband, Andy, and our two children, who attended our public schools. I have been an active member of the community, ranging from involvement in the school system to being a member of the Lexington Pickleball Club.
I am particularly proud of my work as Vice President of the Lexington Education Foundation (LEF), where I created the Student Ambassador program. This initiative allows high school students to learn how nonprofit organizations operate by participating in fundraising, grant reviews, communications, and event planning.
Professionally, my background is in healthcare marketing and sales. I have worked for several large companies, including AstraZeneca and NEFS (Boston IVF). Most recently, I served as a recruitment manager, focusing on staffing nurses for pediatric patients.
Why are you running for Town Meeting?
My primary responsibility as your Town Meeting member is to represent our precinct to the best of my ability. As Lexington undergoes significant changes, I evaluate every proposal based on three core questions:
- Will this benefit Lexington and its residents?
- Is it fiscally responsible and affordable for the town?
- How will this shape the future of our community?
I am particularly focused on the impact of housing following the passing of Article 2 and our ongoing economic development.
I prioritize my decisions based on active listening, thorough research, and financial awareness to ensure the interests of Precinct 4 voters are represented. While Town Meeting generally performs well, there are occasions where I find myself in the minority on certain articles; regardless, I remain committed to a balanced and thoughtful approach.
I encourage you to reach out to share your concerns regarding any Town Meeting issues.
I hope to have your vote for Town Meeting Member of Monday, March 2nd.
How has your past experience — whether in your professional life, elected office, or as a community leader — prepared you for a role in Town Meeting?
