Tell us a little about yourself. You can include your personal background, family, outside interests that are important to who you are as a person and a candidate.
I grew up in Lexington and raised my children here. I recently retired from running the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and previously ran the after school program, Lextended Day. I ran the town’s Department of Social Services in the early 2000s.
I volunteered with both the Girl Scouts and Lexington United Soccer Club and served on the Select Board’s Special Permit Residential Development Committee. This committee looked to encourage building smaller residences and its recommendations were approved by Town Meeting.
Why are you running for Town Meeting?
I am running for reelection and take the role very seriously. I study the issues and enjoy hearing from other folks in Precinct 4. I believe I am a careful steward of taxpayers’ money, with a long term perspective.
