The Lexington Refugee Assistance Program, an all-volunteer organization, will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 14, at the Lexington Community Center, at 7 pm. The meeting is open to all—current or potential volunteers, and people concerned about the state of immigration in our region and our nation.
State Representative Michele Ciccolo will be present to discuss the current wave of migration to the Southern US Border, how it has and continues to impact our communities in Massachusetts, including Lexington, and activity at the state level regarding the influx of people we are experiencing.
We will also provide information on opportunities to volunteer with LexRAP. Members of the Board will be present for those wishing more individual discussion.
The evening is free and parking is available.
