It is with great enthusiasm and sincerity that I endorse Kathleen Lenihan for School Committee. Over nearly two decades of acquaintance and collaboration, I have witnessed firsthand her unwavering dedication to education, equity, and the well-being of our students. In my various roles involving education and equity over the years, including as LEXSEPTA liaison to the School Committee, IAL Ed Committee Co-Chair, and Chair of the Human Rights Committee, I have had the privilege of working closely with Kathleen on numerous initiatives.

Despite our occasionally spirited disagreements, her willingness to engage with vocal and critical constituents like me shows her dedication to collaboration for the common good. Kathleen’s extensive leadership experience reflects her readiness to tackle challenges to improve students’ lives. Few match her thoroughness and diligence in listening, researching, and following up on constituent concerns. As we address building a new LHS, I’m confident Kathleen will be thoughtful in considering persistent and challenging DEI inquiries. Her dedication to considering all constituents’ feedback underscores her commitment to an inclusive learning environment.

Good luck, Kathleen! Should you emerge victorious on Tuesday, rest assured that I’ll be armed with a substantial list of concerns the very next day, as your tenure in serving Lexington continues. Your resilience and dedication to addressing even the most pressing challenges are truly commendable, and I look forward to our ongoing collaboration in advancing the well-being of our community.
