LexSeeHer continues celebrating Women’s History Month with special guest, author, and labor organizer, Ellen Cassedy. Ellen was a founder of the 9 to 5 organization of women office workers that began in Boston fifty years ago. 9 to 5 won millions of dollars in back pay and raises, started a woman-led union, inspired the Hollywood hit movie and Dolly Parton’s song, and made countless bosses get their own coffee.
