Lexington Girl Scout Troop 83234, in working towards their WOW! Wonders of Water journey award, will be donating 83 new, reusable water bottles for the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Over the course of three months, these third graders learned the importance of water, as well as how to advocate for saving and protecting it. Then they organized a reusable water bottle drive at Fiske and Estabrook elementary schools by decorating collection boxes and presenting to classrooms and at all school meetings. They took action to help the Boston homeless have access to portable clean water while reducing waste and the use of harmful chemicals due to the nature of single-use plastics!
