Lexington resident Patrick Sullivan will run the Boston Marathon on April 17 as part of the Goodwill Marathon Team. Patrick is striving to raise $6,000 for the Peter Morrissey Youth Fund, which supports youth in underserved communities to enter the workforce.
“I am impressed by Goodwill’s commitment to employing people with disabilities,” said Patrick. While Goodwill is best known as a thrift store, Patrick emphasized that Goodwill also helps underprivileged communities to secure jobs. Patrick is proud to run for a charity that “helps create a more inclusive society.”
“We are truly appreciative of Pat’s support for Goodwill and his efforts to raise funds for our mission services for young adults. He is making a difference for young people who need support,” said James Harder, Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries.
