Kelly Orzel is a small-scale organic farmer, author, and speaker, living in coastal Maine. 

Over the past 20 years, she has worked as a horticulturist on a 70-acre farm, dabbled in plant biotechnology, earned a Master’s in Horticulture, is a Maine Master Gardener and has run her own herb farm.

Who doesn’t want a chemical-free garden full of fresh fruits and vegetables, deeply aromatic herbs, and bright, beautiful flowers? She will discuss some simple growing techniques and her favorite organic fertilizers. She will also share some vegetable patch and plant bed designs, as well as how to prepare your soil and growing strategies to ensure an abundant, multi-season harvest.
