Repairing the World: a film and discussion about one community’s stand against hate

March 5, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST

Lexington United Against Antisemitism, a new broad-based multi-faith organization is partnering with Lexington Public Schools to offer a free screening of Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life. This documentary film, produced by Not in Our Town (NIOT), begins with the tragic killings at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and then documents the community’s inspiring response to white supremacist hate and antisemitism. After the screening, Lexington resident Linda K. Wertheimer, author of Faith Ed, Teaching about Religion in an Age of Intolerance, will moderate a panel, including Jewish and Muslim students and faculty. A small group discussion will follow.

RSVPs are required to ensure adequate space. Please use this link: https://forms.gle/gmYTgnRYLXujTRch6 to RSVP by February 28. The event is free; however, voluntary donations of $10 per person will go to Not In Our Town in place of a licensing fee.
