​Arches – This traditional architectural motif considers liminal space or a passage through.

Arrangement – Arranging and re-arranging of everyday objects explores the intrinsic beauty of simple domestic acts of placement and order.

Gesture – With an immersion of energy, the gesture captures the physical sensations of how the body both holds and releases.

This collection of Joanna Muehleisen’s work focuses on three particular themes: arches, arrangement, and gesture. This way of creating and exploring multiple subjects at one time allows each theme to dialogue with the others and reflect on them differently.
