Anti-Slavery Women of the Stone Building Walking Tour

June 22, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT

When the Ellen Stone Building opened in 1833, the women of the Robbins family were prohibited from speaking in public, voting, and taking part in politics. Join the Lexington Lyceum to learn about how the Robbins women fit into the anti-slavery movement, and about the bi-racial leaders and writers who inspired them. The tour will be led by Historian Kathleen Dalton and will include stops around the Stone Building block.

Suggested donation: $20. Free for Students, Teachers, or anyone to whom a fee is a deterrent to attending.
