The Lexington School Committee is responsible for setting educational objectives and directives for district schools, aligning with legal mandates and statewide benchmarks. The committee includes five members that each serve three-year terms.

Sitting members Deepika Sawhney and Kathleen Lenihan are running for re-election as their terms come to an end. Johan Lindborg is running as a challenger.

LexObserver sat down with each candidate to hear about their background, experience, and the issues that matter most to them and to all Lexington residents.
