The Lexington Board of Health will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, beginning at 6:40 p.m. via Zoom, to accept comments and consider the adoption of the FDA 2022 Food Code.

The 2022 Food Code is the most recently updated U.S. Food and Drug Administration Food Code and represents the FDA’s best advice for addressing the safety and protection of food offered at retail and in food service. These regulations protect public health by reducing the risk of foodborne illness in food establishments, protecting consumers and industry from potentially devastating health consequences and financial losses.

Copies of the proposed revised regulations are available at the Board of Health office. Electronic versions may be requested by emailing healthdepartment@lexingtonma.gov.

All comments must be submitted to and received by the Board of Health office no later than 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

This legal notice is also posted on the Massachusetts Newspaper Publishers Association (MNPA) website at masspublicnotices.org.
