We have lived in Massachusetts since 1975 and in Lexington since 1993. Like many residents, we moved here with our young children for the quality of the school system. What we also found in Lexington has been a community of people from many parts of the country and world, that love this town and enrich it.
Donald Trump’s elections in 2016 and 2024 made it clear to us that the Democratic Party establishment was out of touch with many voters. It is folly to believe that continuing to elect the same old leadership group will lead to wins for the Democratic party and the effective government our country needs.
After meeting Seth Moulton earlier this year in Woburn, we volunteered for his Senate campaign. Seth has held listening sessions in 53 communities across the state, giving him a clear understanding of the challenges Massachusetts residents face. We found him to be thoughtful and pragmatic—the kind of Senator we need.
His experience of serving 4 tours of duty in the Marines in Iraq has informed his opposition to the war in Iran and makes him a credible and compelling voice. We need that wisdom now.
Seth has forcefully called out ICE and believes that its officials should be prosecuted. He takes that message to audiences who may disagree, including Fox News. He has recruited successful candidates with public service backgrounds for positions across the country.
Seth has proposed a high-speed rail line from Springfield to Boston, which would add employment opportunities for the Pioneer Valley and help address Massachusetts’ affordability crisis.
It is also our belief that Seth is more in touch with the concerns of the average Massachusetts citizen due to his age (47) and background as a father of young children. He has a clear stake in the future, not the past.
Seth Moulton understands how much the country has changed over the past 50 years and has the energy and vitality to fight the battle for our nation. It is time for a new Massachusetts Senator prepared to meet the demands of a dramatically changed world.
If you are a registered Democrat or unenrolled voter, we urge you to vote for Seth Moulton for Senate in the Democratic Primary on Tuesday, September 1st by mail, in person, or absentee ballot. If you prefer, you may vote during the early voting from Tuesday, August 22 through Friday, August 28th.
