As a young person in Lexington, I am deeply invested in politics, but too often I see my peers feel completely disillusioned and uninterested. That isn’t their fault. It’s the fault of the political establishment that relies on “wait-your-turn” politics and makes the prospect of real change feel unattainable for young people.
If the past 18 months have signaled anything, it is that the current leadership of the Democratic Party is totally unfit for the moment. I am sick and tired of Chuck Schumer. I am sick and tired of politicians who send strongly worded letters instead of standing up, fighting back, and delivering on the change they promised us. And I am sick and tired of feeling like my generation is being left out of the decision making that is going to directly shape our future.
So this election season, I want to offer my peers an alternative: vote for Seth Moulton for U.S. Senate, and trust that he will make politics work for you.
Seth not only supports much-needed generational change, he embodies it. He is fighting to bring young, energetic voices into government, and he is leading on the issues of the future such as on AI regulation for the job market my generation is entering.
In the bigger picture, Seth is committed to demanding new leadership in Washington from day one of his term. He launched his campaign by saying he won’t vote for Chuck Schumer as Senate leader, and his time in Congress demonstrates that he is more than ready to fight Donald Trump head-on.
Seth has a robust record of bringing new ideas and new faces into politics. The Democratic Party is in need of a makeover, now more than ever.
That is why I could not be more proud to support Seth Moulton for the U.S. Senate Primary coming on September 1st.
