Hello, my name is Buzz. I’m an 11 year old boy from Unity, Maine. I attended the reenactments of Paul Revere’s Ride, The Battle of Lexington, and also the Battle at Tower Park. I’ve always been interested in history, and it was a great experience to see what those battles were like 251 years ago. It was interesting that all the battles were at the same time, place, and day, so it was like seeing the patriots standing on the same field at the same time that the gunshots were going on in 1775. One thing I was surprised by was when Paul Revere was riding, he was not yelling  “The British are coming! The British are coming!” which confused me because that’s what I always thought happened. My favorite reenactment was the Battle at Tower Park because I was able to move around, so it felt like I was in the battle. I’d like to say a special thank you to Mrs. Vineeta Kumar and Mrs. Kathleen Lenihan for inviting me, Mrs. Muther for teaching me about The American Revolution, Mr. Scott Butler and Mrs. Christina Lin for their hospitality, and to all the performers who put on an amazing show. I’m looking forward to next year.
