As a former Planning Board Member and Chair, I appreciate the work and commitment of the current members and respect their service for the challenging work they perform. Now more than ever, the Planning Board is at the center of the housing affordability opportunity that is defined by the requirements of the MBTA Communities Act that Town Meeting embraced with the passage of Article 34 in 2023 and amended by Article 2 in 2025. The Planning Board has a leadership role in the implementation of these articles and how they guide new multi-family housing and the equitable mitigation of development impacts.

I believe Lin Jensen as a Planning Board Member offers a new voice to this challenge and opportunity for Lexington. Lin is committed to finding a balance between advancing affordable housing opportunities in an environmentally, socially and fiscally sustainable manner while maintaining the character of Lexington. Lin is an active contributor to the town and is well versed in the challenges and issues facing Lexington. I encourage you to consider Lin Jensen for the Lexington Planning Board.
