Lexington, MA

Tell us a little about yourself. You can include your personal background, family, outside interests that are important to who you are as a person and a candidate.

My family moved to Lexington in 2008 from France. Prior to that, we would visit my parents in Lexington during the summer and my kids would attend camps at Lincoln and swim in the town pool. We live not far from the Old Res and our three children have attended Bridge, Clarke and LHS. The bike path connecting our neighborhood to Bridge School, Lincoln Fields, Center Recreation area, LHS and Town Center has been wonderful for our kids to traverse town independently by bike. All three of our children played soccer and I volunteered for many years as the equipment manager for the Lexington United Soccer Club. I have volunteered over the years in the schools (PTA, room parent, etc). I am currently a community member of the LHS School Council and was formerly a parent representative and co-chair for two terms. When my children were at LHS, I organized and moderated the LHS Parent Discussion group for six years—a parent-run support group for parents of LHS students that met weekly.

Why are you running for Town Meeting?

I have been a Precinct 9 Town Meeting Member since 2020 and am running again in the March 2 election. When my youngest student graduated from LHS in 2019, I decided to broaden my interests in local town government from schools and recreation to other areas and ran for Town Meeting. I find great satisfaction in addressing concerns of our local community. I am an engineer by training and profession and enjoy applying these skills in my volunteer efforts.
