Lexington Girl Scouts from Troop 67318 were honored to serve as the Color Guard at this year’s Veterans Day Celebration Ceremony, standing proudly beside veterans, local officials and community members. The girls led the procession with respect and precision, reflecting the gratitude our town holds for those who have served. A highlight for the troop was meeting State Representative Michelle L. Ciccolo, who thanked them for their service.
For the scouts, the ceremony was both a learning experience and a moment of pride. Hadley Hoover, who carried the American flag, shared: “Carrying the flag reminded me that freedom is built on courage, and that honor is something we carry forward.” Her words captured the spirit of the morning.
Throughout the ceremony, the troop stood in formation as veterans were recognized for their service and sacrifice. Leaders noted that opportunities like this help the girls understand the importance of honoring those who protect our country and strengthen their connection to the community.
Serving as the Color Guard has become a meaningful tradition for Troop 67318, reflecting their commitment to respect and service.
