Serve To Cure Cancer, in support of the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute here in Boston, just held our 9th annual tennis charity event. We were extremely fortunate to the town of Lexington and especially to Peter Coleman, the director of the Department of Recreation. When my team and I reached out to Peter last spring, he couldn’t have been more gracious in wanting to help us to set a date and provide us with a permit for the usage of the amazing Gallagher tennis courts on Worthen Road that were newly renovated a few years ago.
Serve To Cure Cancer became extremely popular that our event filled up very quickly with only having eight tennis courts at our previous location at Babson College in Wellesley. We decided to find a location where we had more tennis courts and could raise more money for such an amazing cause. The only town that has more than eight tennis courts in a row is the town of Lexington, and we couldn’t have picked a better location.
Thank you to the town of Lexington and Department of Recreation for their generosity and support in helping us raise more money for such an amazing cause. We, as a team, are extremely grateful.
Thank You,
Dina Dworetsky and Mimi Woodman
