Prices for Lexington’s Community Choice Program will increase beginning with August meter reads because of a regulatory change.

Lexington’s program has three options, and prices for each will increase by 0.735¢/kWh.

  • 100% Green: Increasing from 13.998 ¢/kWh to 14.733 ¢/kWh. Most participants in Lexington’s Community Choice Program are enrolled in the 100% Green option.
  • New England Green: Increasing from 15.654 ¢/kWh to 16.389 ¢/kWh.
  • Basic: Increasing from 13.081¢/kWh to 13.816 ¢/kWh

The new prices will first appear on Eversource bills in September, and they will be fixed through the end of the contract with First Point Power, which is December 2026. Most participants in Lexington’s Community Choice program will continue to see savings because Eversource’s residential Basic Service price will also increase on August 1. Eversource’s new residential price will be 14.884 ¢/kWh, which is higher than both the 100% Green and the Basic prices. Eversource’s new price will be in place through January 31, 2026. Eversource’s prices change every six months, so savings beyond January 31 cannot be guaranteed.
