Temperatures in the Boston area reached 100 degrees today, in a heat wave that is setting records across the Northeast. Lexington’s outdoor cafes were empty, but just around the corner the town pool was packed. Here’s the day in photos:

  1. Please don’t send the picture of the Wilson workers to the Devil Incarnate or his mirror-image, Stephen Miller.

  2. The Wednesday midday standout at the Minuteman statue to protest the Trump administration’s anti-democratic practices still took place in The Heat!
We only had 2/3 our normal participants, and admittedly we didn’t linger, but we showed up. The heatwave traffic was lighter than usual, and there were fewer tourists, but it seemed to me like more passing drivers honked and waved in support. Protest is patriotic.
