"Childhood Treasure" mixed media, award-winning painting

Zihan (Ada) Wang, a Lexington eighth grader, is a 2025 winner of the distinguished National Silver Key Award in the oldest and largest art contest in the country, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

Wang, along with four other students nationwide, were chosen out of nearly 110,000 teens and 310,000 original works of art and writing to receive the prestigious achievement, presented by a nonprofit organization called The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. According to the press release by Gallery in the Pines, Hudson’s art school and camp, the participating creatives competed against 11,000 students in Massachusetts in order to be judged on a national level.
