Huge crowds came out in cities across the country on Saturday to protest against the Trump administration’s policies on issues including immigration, tariffs, funding for academic and scientific research, LGBTQ+ rights, women’s’ rights, due process, and more. Organizers say millions of people joined at over 1,300 “Hands Off!” rallies in all 50 states. Here in Lexington, a large crowd came out in the rain and cold, with many signs referencing the symbolism of protesting what they see as an increasingly authoritarian president in the birthplace of the American revolution.

  1. I love your protest photos and the succinct paragraph.
My wife and I will be coming to celebrate history in Lexington on April 19, 2025. What various organizations might be organizing on line?

    Thank You,
    Jacob Rodgers

  2. I live in Lexington and did not know about this protest. I’d like to know if there is a Hands Off protest in Lexington on April 19th—or any other date.
