Each year, LexPride invites candidates for contested town-wide offices to respond to social justice questions that affect Lexington residents. Some years we do so by means of a candidate forum, and other years (as this year) we ask for written responses and post them to our website. Either way, every year LexPride invites a wide variety of cultural and community groups to suggest questions.

We greatly appreciate everyone’s contributions, and we are delighted to share the responses we received. Please visit the March 2025 Election page of LexPride’s website to view the questions and answers. We received answers from the following candidates (in alphabetical order):

Select Board candidates:
Dawn McKenna, Joe Pato, Patrick Mehr, and Vineeta Kumar

School Committee candidates: Eileen Jay, Larry Freeman, Sarah Carter and Lana Panasyuk

Planning Board candidates: Tina McBride and Tom Shiple

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, LexPride does not endorse candidates for office. We do, however, encourage folks to learn about the candidates and vote on March 3!
