I would like to enthusiastically endorse Lana Panasyuk for School Committee (www.lana4lex.org).

Her breadth and depth of understanding of the Lexington school system speaks for itself, with over 25 years of volunteering, advocating, and supporting the system.

As a mother of five, all of whom have gone through or are going through the Lexington school system, she possesses invaluable practical understanding to complement her commitment and intellect, as evidenced by a Ph.D. from MIT and an MBA from Babson.

Professionally, our paths have crossed at MIT Lincoln Labs. Her ability to quickly grasp and provide clear concise communication on complex topics was widely appreciated. Such a gift is directly transferable to the crucial decision-making role of a school board member, where technical details, passionate advocates, and real-world constraints can have a profound and lasting impact on the community. Lana is a joy to work with, and an effective, compassionate leader. Her passion for education, combined with her strong leadership and intellectual abilities, make her a truly outstanding candidate for the School Committee.

Big Backyard, Robotics Club, and Science Club are not just checkboxes to her; she has been deeply involved in all these projects. That commitment extends to the Math Club, coaching sports, afterschool activities, and more volunteer opportunities than I could list here.

At PTO meetings, she consistently shares valuable, pertinent information and asks insightful questions. While not afraid to ask some challenging questions, or provide differing opinions, she interacts in a most respectful, civil and refreshingly humble manner.

With this kind of talent, energy, dedication and passion for education, Lexington should consider itself lucky that Lana is running for School Committee.

Please join me in voting for LANA for School Committee on March 3:

    L – Leadership

A – Accountability and fiscal responsibility

    N – New ideas

    A – Academic excellence

We could use Lana’s expertise now more than ever.
