Meet the candidates for the Planning Board: Tina McBride and Tom Shiple (click the images below to read an in-depth profile for each candidate):

Lexington’s Planning Board is made up of five community volunteers tasked with short- and long-term planning for the town. The board primarily focuses on land use and development, but also reviews special permit applications.

Members on the Planning Board are elected to three year terms. This year, incumbent Robert Peters’ term is up and he is not seeking reelection; Tina McBride and Tom Shiple are both vying for Peters’ spot. Only one spot needs to be filled.

LexObserver sat with each candidate to learn about their motivations, backgrounds, and experiences.
