Here’s the updated daily weather forecast for Lexington, MA, from Friday, February 14 to Friday, February 21 by Meteorologist Matthew Moll of New England Weather Consulting:


Lexington residents should brace for a windy and cold weekend with snow, sleet, and rain in the mix. After a quiet start to the week, a winter storm will arrive on Saturday afternoon, bringing snow that will transition to sleet and rain by Sunday morning. While snow accumulation is expectedespecially north of the Mass Pikethe exact amounts are still uncertain, with a possible range of 1-3 inches. Following this system, conditions will remain cold with gusty winds on Monday and temperatures will stay below normal throughout the week.


Friday, February 14: A chilly day with temperatures near 30°F and breezy conditions. Winds will be strong from the west at 17 to 23 mph, gusting up to 45 mph, making it feel colder. By evening, the winds will calm slightly, with a low around 12°F. A partly cloudy night is expected, with a west wind around 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday, February 15: A cloudy day with a chance of snow in the afternoon, with temperatures reach near 30°F. Winds will be light, shifting to the southwest at 6 mph. Snow begins in the afternoon hours. By Saturday night, snow will transition to sleet as a storm system moves in, with a low around 25°F. Snow and sleet accumulation could range from 2 to 4 inches, and winds will be light from the southeast.

Sunday, February 16: Mixed precipitation will transition to rain early in the morning and continue through much of the day. Expect highs near 41°F with an east wind at 8 to 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Rain will turn to snow late in the evening, with a low of 21°F. Snow showers may linger into the night, and west winds at 8 to 14 mph will pick up. No additional snow accumulations are expected.

Monday, February 17: A cold but mostly sunny day with highs near 27°F. Winds will be gusty, from the west at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. A cold night follows with partly cloudy skies and a low around 9°F. Expect west winds at 14 to 16 mph, gusting up to 29 mph.

Tuesday, February 18: A sunny but cold day with temperatures near 23°F. Winds will be strong from the west at 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 10°F and continued breezy conditions.

Wednesday, February 19: Mostly sunny, but still chilly, with highs around 28°F. Winds will be light to moderate from the west, at 9 to 11 mph, gusting to 21 mph.

Thursday, February 20: Expect a quiet but cold day with mostly sunny skies. Highs will be near 28°F, with light west winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday, February 21: A cold but calm day with partly sunny skies. Highs will be near 30°F, and winds will remain light from the west at 5 to 8 mph.
