Joe Pato is one of my favorite people in the Town of Lexington. I don’t say that lightly because there are so many amazing citizens in Lexington who I have the privilege to work with and to know. But to me, Joe is a very special public servant.

When I served on the Select Board, I worked directly with Joe and was able to see him close-up in action. Joe is exceedingly thoughtful, diligent, and dedicated. He takes the time to listen to everyone, considers all sides of an issue, and makes careful decisions. He holds regular office hours and makes himself available to anyone and everyone who wants to be heard.

Always striving to do what is right and what he thinks is best for the community, Joe is exceedingly fair and kind. He understands the soul of our town and leads by example, never expecting his constituents to do anything he wouldn’t do first. He’s also one of the smartest people I know. On more than one occasion, I have been awe-inspired by the hands-on, creative work Joe has applied to solving problems. Writing the software for our virtual and hybrid Town Meetings is just one example of the can-do attitude Joe embodies. His strong intellect allows him to dig deeply into complex policy problems and he has the mental stamina to sweat the details to make sure we get them correct.

Lexington has been extremely well served by Joe’s leadership and we are fortunate that he is willing to continue serving as a volunteer Select Board member. I wholeheartedly endorse Joe for another term and hope you will join me in voting for him on March 3rd!
