The time before the leaves turn is getting shorter, but it is still officially Porchfest season. Ithaca, New York held the first Porchfest in 2007, and the concept swiftly spread throughout the nation, bringing musicians and community residents together for an afternoon of free, live music.

Join Lexington Council for the Arts for Porchfest on Saturday, September 28,1-5 PM.  We have a toe-tapping, finger-snapping blues and jug band; acoustic guitar Americana, ragtime from 1890s-1920s, and many more. Visit lexingtonporchfest.org/ for details! There will be an info desk at Emory Park.

We will be having a “grande finale” act – Rocking Horse People – performing The Beatles’ “Abbey Road” in its entirety at the Stone Building at 735 Mass Ave in East Lexington at 5 PM.
