Last Sunday, the first annual Bikeway Block Party saw well over 1,000 visitors at each of four parks along Lexington’s section of the Minuteman Bikeway. The producers of this year’s event – Friends of Lexington Bikeways and Munroe Center for the Arts –  could not have made such a wonderful community festival a success without the support of Town staff and many volunteers and community groups. We are very grateful for all the help and encouragement received from the following:

  • Bikeway Block Party Volunteers – any and all of those over 75 individuals – including Scouts from Troops 119 and 160 – who helped during the Block Party as assemblers, ambassadors, drivers, and crews doing setup and cleanup;
  • Park Hosts who not only helped manage the park logistics on Sunday, but helped to recruit volunteers for their park;
  • Cathy Severance, Town Manager’s Office
  • Sandyha Iyer and Jay Abdella, Economic Development Office
  • Dave Pinsonneault, Marc Valente, Chris Filadoro, John Asaad, & Colin, Department of Public Works
