Sacred Heart Parish invites adults and children to join a new Faith Formation program. This full-community, liturgy-based approach will encourage intergenerational connections. Starting in October, participants will meet for one Sunday a month (for eight Sundays) immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. The fee is $50 per family, the same for a “family” of one person or a family with multiple members. Sacramental preparation for First Penance, First Eucharist, and Confirmation are included.

In June, Cardinal Sean O’Malley decreed that Sacred Heart would become a personal parish. In his decree, the Cardinal noted that the parish was distinguished by its high level of lay involvement, service, and focus on liturgy and music. Going forward, Sacred Heart Parish will no longer be restricted by geographic boundaries and will welcome Catholics from all surrounding communities, as well as Lexington.

Sacred Heart’s new pastor, Father Francis O’Brien, will be installed on September 29 at the 10:00 Mass by Bishop Mark O’Connell, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Boston. For more information about Sacred Heart Parish, please check our website at www.sacredheart-lexington.org.
