Frothy lattes, fluffy croissants, spicy shakshuka — these familiar favorites from Tatte Bakery & Cafe are now available right here in Lexington. The Lexington branch of the beloved Boston-area chain opened Monday in the former Bertucci’s space at 1777 Mass. Ave. Photographer Vikram Anantha captured these photos of opening day.

  1. A wonderful addition to Lexington downtown! I have been a patron since Tatte first opened doors near Kendall Sq from my days at MIT.

  2. Even earlier, I frequented their small shop (now greatly enlarged) that opened in 2008 on Beacon Street along the BC trolley line. Still miss their fresh, very French brioche, but look forward to being a happy Lexington customer. Welcome!

  3. Are they also operating as a “ghost kitchen”, preparing food for delivery services? I noticed several other “restaurants” listed at the same address including NASCAR Wings, and a few others.

    1. Bertucci’s was doing the ghost kitchen before they went out of business at that location. I doubt Tate is continuing that.
