Orthodox Christians celebrate Pascha (Easter) this year on Sunday, April 16 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam Street. 

Visitors will observe Holy Week and Pascha with the following services.  All are welcome!

  • Lazarus Saturday, April 8:  Matins 8 A.M., Divine Liturgy 9 A.M.
  • Palm Sunday, April 9:  Matins 8 A.M., Divine Liturgy 9 A.M., and Procession with Palms on Meriam Street
  • The Bridegroom Services on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings April 9-11 at 6 P.M.
  • Wednesday, April 12, service of Holy Unction (anointing with holy oil), 5 P.M.
  • Thursday, April 13, the Divine Liturgy of Institution of the Eucharist, 9 A.M.; the service of the 12 Gospels commemorating the Passion and Death of our Lord, 6 P.M.
  • Holy Friday, April 14, the Royal Hours 8:30 A.M.; the Unnailing service, 2 P.M.; the Lamentations and Procession on Meriam Street with the Burial Cloth of Christ, 6:30 P.M.  
  • Holy Saturday, April 15, Divine Liturgy, 9 A.M. 
  • Celebration of Easter will begin Saturday evening at 11 P.M. with the lighting of the Paschal candle in the darkened church, the proclamation “Christ is Risen,” followed by the Divine Liturgy and fellowship in the church hall
