Girl Scouts gathered to make blankets for NICU babies.

Girl Scouts from Lexington Troops 71775 and 82031 gathered together to make 25 blankets to be donated to Neonatal Intensive Care Units via Project Sweet Peas. The blankets are used to cover the premature babies’ incubators to shield their sensitive, underdeveloped eyes from the harsh lights. When the babies go home, the blankets go with them.

The Girl Scouts, ranging in age from 10 to 17, worked in teams to finish the blankets in less than two hours.  Lexington Girl Scouts is thankful to Brookhaven at Lexington for use of their community room!
