In preparation for demolition and construction of a new permanent police station at 1575 Massachusetts Avenue, the Lexington Police Department officially moved to its temporary headquarters at 173 Bedford St. last week.

All staff are now working out of 173 Bedford St. and we have closed 1575 Mass Ave. The numbers 911 for emergencies and 781-862-1212 are still in use. We did not have any interruptions in police services during the move. While we are still unpacking files and other records, there will be a delay in some administrative requests.

The LexSORT compost bins previously located at 173 Bedford St. have been moved to 201 Bedford St.
