Community – Sustainability – Education – Fun

Sunday, June 29^th from 1:00-5:00 pm – North Suburban YMCA, 137 Lexington St., Woburn, MA

Mystic River Watershed Association and Know Your Neighbor Woburn have joined forces to host Woburn GreenFest – a community “big tent” event celebrating and elevating awareness of Climate Justice and Green Space conservation, preservation, and improvements in the City of Woburn and throughout the Mystic River Watershed. Organizers are striving to bring the community together to learn more about Woburn’s watershed and green space assets and improvement projects and programs, and enjoy a joyful afternoon of community-building fun in the sun.

Hosted by North Suburban YMCA, this outdoor event will feature a Festival vibe complete with educational and fun activities, food, music, games, and community exhibits centered on Climate Justice and environmental sustainability. Local and regional conservation, environmental, and climate justice groups will be featured in a speaking program and presentations.

Community sponsors include City of Woburn Ward 3 Councilor and President, Mr. Jeff Dillon, and Ward 7 Councilor, Mr. Chuck Viola.  Organizers are also grateful to the host sponsor, North Suburban YMCA, and the YMCA of Greater Boston.  Major funding has been provided by Mystic River Watershed Association, Winchester Hospital – Beth Israel Health, Mystic Valley NAACP, Eversource, and the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Woburn.
