Sunday Stroll Walking Tour: Stories in Stone

Visit over three centuries of Lexington’s past on a walking tour of the historic Old Burying Ground. From skulls and crossbones to willow trees and urns, this is the perfect place to see the history of how our ancestors grappled with the concept of death through beautiful artwork. Discover how mortuary art has changed over time here, and meet some of Lexington’s most famous inhabitants along the way.
Leaves from Buckman Tavern, total walking distance is roughly one mile.
Space is limited to 20 people. Ticket sales end at 6 p.m. the evening before the tour (August 23).
