Rainbow Artists

This has been a difficult time for many in the LGBTQIA+ community. This week we heard a vicious anti-trans tirade from a public commenter at the School Committee meeting. While two candidates for School Committee (Kathleen Lenihan and Deepika Sawhney) have expressed strong support for the Serious Talks curriculum, the third candidate refused to even respond to LexPride’s questions for candidates. More broadly, many of us are grieving the death of Nex Benedict — and trying to navigate numerous anti-trans (and anti-LGBTQIA+) laws in states where family and friends live.
In the midst of all this, we need some queer joy! LexPride invites LGBTQIA+ people and allies to join us for an all ages Rainbow Artists event tomorrow (March 2), 1-3pm, at the Lexington Community Center (dining room). Join us for creative expression, art, and social time in a warmly supportive setting. Folks can also register for our Spring session of Rainbow Artists for youth ages 8-11, 12-15, and 16-19.
