OFFSITE – LexSeeHer’s Speaker Series Welcomes Elizabeth Solomon

**Offsite Location** This program will be presented at Follen Church, 755 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington
Join LexSeeHer’s Speaker Series as we welcome Elizabeth Solomon. The conversation will be moderated by Jessie Steigerwald.
Attendance is on a first-come basis. Registration is suggested to help plan for headcount.
Ms. Solomon spoke at the May 2024 “Something Is Being Done” monument Unveiling Ceremony, and will return to Lexington to discuss women, gender, community, and the experiences of Indigenous people – both in the past and in the present. Ms. Solomon is an officer of the Massachusett Tribe at Ponkapoag. From their website, “The Massachusett Tribal Nation has existed for years beyond counting in pre-historic times, and a well-documented existence in historic and modern times. The Ponkapoag band of the Massachusett Tribe has existed as what was called a self-governing praying town (for Christian Converts) called Ponkapoag since 1657.”
Jessie Steigerwald founded LexSeeHer in March 2020 and joyfully serves as the organization’s President. Among Jessie’s activities for LexSeeHer, she leads the Research Team and coordinates the annual 1769 Spinning Protest Tableau.
Presented in partnership with LexSeeHer and Native Americans of Lexington. Read more about LexSeeHer‘s efforts to “Make Women Visible.”
