Lexington Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
Lexington Neighbors, we hope to see you at our Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service! Join us on Sunday, November 24, at 3 pm at First Parish, Unitarian Universalist – 7 Harrington Road. We will receive an offering to support the Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry. A reception will follow the service.
Our theme this year is “Still Aspiring.” We will look at our shared history in Lexington as we get ready for Lex250 – and we will ask what we Still Aspire to be and do as an interfaith community. A combined choir will lift grateful songs, and a wide range of speakers will offer reflections. People of all faiths and people who don’t identify with any faith tradition are warmly invited.
The Lexington Interfaith Thanksgiving service is a longstanding tradition with deep importance this year. The Lexington Interfaith Community Association (LICA) is committed to building up respectful relationships among people of many faiths, backgrounds, and commitments. We don’t always do this perfectly but we aspire to model compassionate understanding within our community. In a moment of anxiety and polarization in the US, kind friendships are a blessing locally. You can make new friends and deepen your connections with your neighbors at this gathering. Please come!
Questions about the service can be sent to admin@fplex.org.
If you’d like to contribute online to the offering, you can use the QR code on the poster, or visit https://first-parish-in-lexington.square.site/product/special-collection-lexington-interfaith-clergy-association-lica-/58
I look forward to seeing all of you at First Parish, on November 24 at 3 pm.
Blessings and Peace,
Rev. Reebee Kavich Girash
LICA President 2024-2025
Pastor, Pilgrim Church
