Join the League of Women Voters of Lexington at a First Friday on November 7, 2025, 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Dining Room at the Lexington Community Center to learn about Stipend Reform, one of the many ballot questions currently proposed. This is a bipartisan ballot effort to eliminate or reform the stipends that Beacon Hill lawmakers get for holding leadership positions.

Jay Kaufman, Lexington resident and former Representative from the 15^th Middlesex district from 1994-2019, will explain what these stipends are and how they are allocated to legislators. He will describe the intent of this ballot question.
