Free Workshop and Performance, from Encore Dance Ensemble
Join Lexington’s own Encore Dance Ensemble at the Dance For World Community Festival, Greater Boston’s largest and most popular dance event, on Saturday, June 7th. Encore Dance Ensemble will lead a dance workshop and perform two new original works. “Birds of a Feather” is a humorous look at our feathered friends, choreographed by Jill Baker. “Slipping Through Time,” choreographed by Dorothy Anderson-Perales, is a touching suite of dances about the power of memories.
The Dance for World Community festival is a free, public, all-day event featuring performances and classes from over 60 local dance companies. Performances and classes will be held across outdoor stages along Mass Ave and inside Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre studios. The festival is FREE. No registration needed.
Encore Dance Ensemble is a modern dance company comprised of women aged 40+ who draw on their life experiences as inspiration for their work.
