Chamber Music Concert – Sunday, November 10 at 3pm

November 10, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST
$20
The Pernambuco Chamber Ensemble will present their fall concert, Off the Beat(en) Path, on Sunday, November 10th at 3:00 pm at Follen Church in the beautiful Epp Sonin Music Room. They will be performing the Piano Quartet in Eb, a set of songs by Robert Schumann, a charming, recently discovered quintet by little-known Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia, and the premier of an arrangement for viola & cello duo of Bach’s Cello Suite #4, by the ensemble’s cellist.
The musicians are Lexington residents Daniel Goodman on piano, Jessica Baum on viola, Judith Glixon on cello, Shirie Leng on violin, and Michael Goldring on double bass and voice.
This concert is made possible in part by the Follen Church Social Justice Action Team and the Mass Cultural Council (MCC) and will benefit IPCI-USA (the International Pernambuco Conservation Initiative), whose mission is to preserve the Brazilian rainforest. IPCI-USA is a part of the International Alliance of Violin and Bow Makers for Endangered Species (www.alliance-international.org).
Suggested Donation: $20. Due to limited seating, it is recommended that you reserve a spot. Just go to EventBrite.com and type “Pernambuco” in the search box. For more information, visit https://pernambuco-chamber-ensemble.com.
