RMDMA 6th Anniversary Performance DEN ~KOKORO WO KOMETE~

RMD MA was established in 2020 as the Massachusetts branch of Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko — a creative Eisa group founded in 1982 in Okinawa, Japan. Our name translates to Ryukyu Kingdom Festival Drums. Eisa is a dynamic form of folk dance from the Okinawan Islands, once known as the Ryukyu Kingdom. Our performers dance while drumming to a lively mixture of traditional and contemporary Okinawan music, sharing what we call “Kokoro Spirit” with audiences across New England and beyond. For DEN, we are inviting members from around the world to join us in celebrating our 6th anniversary, bridging languages and cultures to dance together on stage.
