The Lexington Youth Basketball Association (LYBA) has opened registration for tryouts for the upcoming 2026-2027 basketball season. Tryouts will take place at the end of September, and the season begins in late November. Last year, LYBA fielded eighteen teams comprised of 210 total players, across a wide range of competitive divisions.
LYBA is made up of travel basketball teams for 3rd through 8th-grade boys and girls living in or going to public school in Lexington. LYBA teams participate in the Metrowest basketball league, one of the largest travel basketball organizations in the greater Boston area. The mission of LYBA is to offer committed basketball players a competitive experience that improves basketball ability, teaches players to be good teammates, and supports Lexington’s high school teams.
