The air was frigid and snow falling last Saturday, the day that Munroe Center for the Arts and partners had set for LexLux, an outdoor community event including light sculptures, handmade lanterns, and animated projections mapped onto the Depot building. The organizers decided to go ahead with the event despite the weather — after all, the concept was to bring light and joy to the deepest, darkest days of winter. It was a good decision — the multicolored lights reflected off the flecks of snow, and those who braved the cold experienced a true winter wonderland.
Don’t worry if you missed it — Saturday’s event kicked off two weeks of illuminations throughout Lexington.
