You are cordially invited to attend the Grand Opening of the first Universally Accessible loop trail constructed on Lexington’s Conservation Areas. The newly constructed trail is located on Parker Meadow Conservation Area, a 17-acre conservation parcel located just outside Lexington center with access from the Minuteman Bikeway featuring a pleasant mixture of forest, field, wetland, and a picturesque wildlife pond. The constructed trail boasts proximity and connection to the Minuteman Bikeway, 1697ft of accessible trails over pervious surfaces and boardwalks, parking area improvements including 4 parking spaces, 1 of which is handicapped accessible, and installation of a viewing platform overlooking the pond. Some final touches are still pending including installation of an interpretive panel and installation of a story walk. 

The Grand Opening will be on October 15th from 3-4:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at 3:00, with a short speaking address at 3:30. There will be a nature scavenger hunt activity available for children and families. More than light rain will cancel. 

If you are more able-bodied please park on Ledgelawn Avenue or arrive via the Minuteman Bikeway or connecting ACROSS Lexington trails.
