Discover the New Native Plant Pollinator Garden at Hastings Park

June 15, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
Free

Please come Saturday afternoon, June 15, from 3-5 pm, to discover and learn about the new demonstration native plant pollinator garden, that Lexington Living Landscapes volunteers planted at Hastings Park at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Worthen Road. There will be information about the garden and the benefits of native plants, activities for children, and refreshments. Brief remarks at 3:30 will highlight Lexington Living Landscapes and how you can use your own garden to benefit our pollinators and other insect friends.

The garden was planted last June and mulched, watered, and weeded through the summer and fall, and is looking great this spring!

The purpose of the garden is three-fold:
1) to educate people about the importance of native plants to pollinators and other wildlife;
2) to showcase native plants that people might want to add to their own gardens; and
3) to create a visually pleasing display of plants that have a succession of bloom times and offer multi-season interest as well.

Please join us!

(In case of inclement weather, a message will be posted by 2 pm on the Lexington Living Landscapes website (https://www.lexingtonlivinglandscapes.org)
